While it seldom rains in southern AZ, and far more seldom catches me out and about in Gertrude, I happily found and fitted her out a couple years ago with some genuine Anco 818 Red Dot windshield wipers, having tired of the modern plastic trash made ostensibly for our cars. I happily report that as of now, the wiper blades are still intact, and apparently are in very good shape. Be this as it is, at some time, the rubber in these will disintegrate, leaving me in need of new wiper blades or PREFERABLY, refills for the excellent blades I now have. I've looked around a bit, finding the Anco 53-18 as a common NOS refill, which didn't work at all. Before spending lucre on any other problematic refill, I thought I'd ask some of you Wiser Heads if any of you KNEW of a viable refill for the rubbers in these excellent blades. I recall in 1980 still being able to buy refills for my Disgustang then quite easily, but, that was 45 years ago, and crapitalism has degenerated a lot further since. I know approximately what is needed, but vendors don't like giving actual specifications for these, making it easy to select the correct product.

I’m not sure if this will exactly answer your question, but I am using Trico 43–180 on my 66 Newport with original stainless steel wiper arms. I found some on eBay for 20 bucks.

That might very well do too. FWIW Folks, Anco has been BOUGHT by the parent corp which owns Trico too. DAMN these monopolists!

They make a cut to length refill. I've done this on my '65 300L and I think the wipers are very similar in later years.

Smart of Trico to do this. I suspect the 47-800 is the one I'll want, but I'll get my calipers out and make damned sure. I see this product abounds on many vendors's shelves too. Thx a 10^6 Big John!

My blades also run about .38 in. or 9.652 mm. I'll see if Trico makes a 47-900....

Guys, while looking at the Trico 43-180 refills, I see that OER vends a new rubber replacement for THAT: F309 - Trico-Style Wiper Blade Insert; 18

I'll look around a little more. I'm not expecting any torrents this summer anyway, but some autumns, after the sea gets cooked all summer, we can get clobbered here.
