What is this car?

My wife found this photo of her father and we are trying to pin down the year. I suspect this is about a 1936, but not sure of the brand. Could be Packard, LaSalle, Oldsmobile, Buick, or ...?
Anyone familiar with cars from the mid 30's?

Wow, I'd say you are right, I've been searching 1934-37 but the 1938 Streamline Sports Sedan Model 47 appears to be a perfect match except for the trunk extension shown on the Touring model 41. I found a picture of a 1938 model 41 without the front fender mounted spare tire and it looks exactly right. Very cool cars.
