OK so for whatever reason the passenger side rearview mirror is worthless, I can not adjust it to a point where I can see anything. Do I need to remove it and see if there is a adjustment needed before I mount it? Right now I can not bring it in far enough or down far enough. So it kind of gives me a great view of whatever is behind and up about 6 feet to my right.

That there is for the front seat passenger. Kind of irritating, isn't it? I mean, who cares what they see behind you?

Companion mirror - that's the name for it. Couldn't come up with the term while I was answering the first time.

Rear view mirror is in the car, certainly you are referring to the passenger side view mirror. A rare item on our cars. My 71 New Yorker has one, it can be adjusted to be useable, however I only find myself using it to parallel park, also handy for right lane changes. None of my other cars have it so I find myself forgetting about it. What car do you have that has this option?

wish they made a 4" stick on convex mirror

It is there to give your car a balanced look. :) My '66 300 is the same, we all have the same problem, totally useless.

My 67 had the the one year only location of the mirror where you looked at it through the vent window. Excellent field of vision for me there.
There's a whole thread on this but you'll have to do the search to find it.

Well, I'll accept that its for show not go. I was really starting to feel pretty low as a man if I could not adjust a side view mirror (Thanks 3Cs)

I've managed to adjust the pass side mirror on my 67 300. It is useful. I rely on it all the time when I'm changing lanes. One thing we really have to be thankful for; our cars have MUCH better all round visibility then any of the newer cars do.

My 65 Fury has side mirrors on both sides and both are fully adjustable to a very useful position.

I guess I got lucky on mine, as I don't have one. Even if it did, I'd think it'd be as useful as balls on a cow.

I actually like another Version, but I don't want to hurt religious feelings today.

Get a pair of These tasteful rosewood armrests, too while you're at it.:)
