I remember. Great photograph.

I bought my 1969 Super Bee and new 1973 Ralleye Challenger from Peters Dodge on S 27th St in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I can't even find a picture of the old warrior palace. However, I found this.......

These two dealers are not on the list but were definitely in business during the late 60's, early 70's. Peters Dodge on S 27th St. in Milwaukee. They sold their share of hi-po Dodges until the dealership was sold to Dodge City in the 70's. Although not a Dodge dealer but there also was Kennedy Chrysler Plymouth in Milwaukee which has been closed for at least 30 years.

I was just talking to a guy that still owns a 69 Super Bee (not an A12) that he bought used off the Peters Dodge lot in 1970. There are a few other original owner or bought used, low mile Dodges from Peters Dodge lurking around the greater Milwaukee area. Some are seldom seen but they do exist.

When Hub Chrysler Plymouth closed recently, I looked into whether any sales/delivery records from that time period survived but unfortunately, they are long gone. There's a slim chance Dodge City may have kept sales paperwork from Peters Dodge but I think Cal Anderson, the long time local hi-po Mopar parts guy/guru, looked into it and didn't find anything.

Doering Dodge was actually located in downtown Waukesha until they closed in the late 70's. Around the time they closed, I heard some choice 'n dusty NOS items were thrown out but a few pieces were saved. Who knew back then?

Id kill to have that capitol plymouth chrysler imperial sign in my garage!

Peter's Dodge on S.27 st. was the Dodge hot rod palace of Milwaukee. Kind of the competitor to Gran Spaulding Dodge north of the Wisconsin border. I bought my 69 Super Bee and 73 Challenger there. Their used car lot had at least 100 performance Dodge and Plymouth's on any given day. My friends and I use to go there, park our hot rods on the street in front of the used car lot and take their hot rods out for a test drive. Had fun doing that once or twice a month.
