I have to share a story of one of my church members, who is an older lady in her late 70s. She doesn't move that quick anymore, still mobile, but probably should use a cane.

She loves my 300, and when ever she sees it she says "I see you drove that big beautiful Chrysler today"

She was very pleased to tell me this Sunday that she finally got the Jeep she always wanted. I said I want to check it out after church and she said absolutely.

I get out there and it is a red 1999 Wrangler, with a 5 speed manual transmission. It is in exceptional shape and she had the top off. She said the top is kind of a pain, so she will only drive it when it's nice out.

When she goes to leave, she said here is my crutch, I have a tough time getting in and out of it, so she has a 2 step ladder with a long handle to get in and out of it.

You got to love her persistence. The grin on her face when she left, tells me she made the right decision. :)

That's a good choice for a vehicle:thumbsup: I've got an '03. I just hope her's isn't lifted any. And those tops can be a paint, especially when it's cool out.

That’s a wonderful story. I always admired the elderly who refuse to give up. Thumbs up to a wonderful lady.
Many years ago we took the kids to St Johns island. Sitting at the beach we watched a very elderly gentlemen struggle to the beach trying to put flippers on. The waves would knock him over while trying to put his flippers on but he refused help. Eventually he got in the water and swam away enjoying himself. Out young daughter joined him and they had a great time. I said to the wife I loved the courage and tenacity and wanted to be just like that. Sadly I am getting close but will always remover that moment in time.

It is a very clean stock Jeep. I have a feeling the top is off for the summer. I don't think she plans on driving it in the winter since it is in such good shape.
