winged cars at Elkart Lake Road America

Took my 63 Sport Fury convert to see the Winged cars , Fords and Mercs national meet at Road America Saturday to get my mind off selling my 72 Town and Country. It worked! there were about 40 Supper Birds, Daytonas and two Charger 500s along with about 40 Fords and Mercs! I made a video of them doing laps and will post it if I can figure out how to do that here. Got lots of compliments on my Sport Fury!! What a sight to see probably the biggest gathering of winged cars out on the track letting them do their thing!!

The brown 500 is one of the three cars that stopped at Petes house to offer to buy Petes 70 cop car! Peter declined his offer and decided he would rather keep it!! I cant say the same thing about the Town and Country! I have $$$ burning a hole in my pocket! Good thing Kathy put it in a safe place, Found a beautiful 75 Newport Custom 4 door sedan with 29 original K on it at the Chrysler swap meet in Milwaukee today. It sure would do the job of pulling the camper!! Kathy said, are you nuts, it gets about the same mileage as the wagon! Oh but it so pretty! good thing its not a New Yorker St Regis!!
