ok to the best of my knowledge those were referred to as ''snow blades"....the extra cover prevented ice chunks from building up in the wiper and preventing it from flexing to follow the shape of the windshield...popular in northern areas but I don't think it was anything factory installed...Mike Harrell of Bus Stop Parts sells vintage wiper blades and arms in the swap meet circuit...he might have some...(276) 620-8299

Those are definitely "snow blades". Guys would put them on in the winter so the snow and ice didn't build up on the blade. They never really worked all that well and kinda sucked in summer because they didn't move with the contour of the windshield and left streaks. I think the rubber blade wasn't as flexible, but I could be wrong.

Short answer, you don't want them. Most of the wipers sold in Advance Pep zone aren't going to be right either and probably look like crap. What I've done is found older, correct blades and changed the rubber blade using a new refill.

Here's a video on earlier cars, but the concept is the same. BTW, Bob is not quite as exciting in person.

RockAuto has OEM style “chrome” blades for my ‘65 Sport Fury, they probably have something similar for yours.
