This guy has his 69 Newport for sale. When I inquired about his asking price, his reply was "what are you offering? I spent 2K on the chrome under the hood". I didn't even dignify that remark (I was thinking $500, but bit my tongue), but almost wanted to ask how much he spent at the Smurf shop on all the blue wire loom. And he could at least have bought enough mesh to go completely around the air cleaner instead of only 3/4. Only chrome I saw was pulleys, power steering pump and a few brackets.

The rest is kind of a bondo bucket.

I probably should have been more pc with that but the pics are just absolutely ridiculous. He deserves a Chevy camaro, not a classic c body....ESP a classic fuselage car. Sad, so very sad.

Even the damn rad cap is blue. Dude has surely gone mental.

You need to petition Hollywood immediately. A reality show like that would make a killing.

I think this was already on under the alternative title "Pimp my ride"

They were serious about it but the results were WTF, the scheme most oftenly being turning a rust bucket into a custom in a few days, was an MTV format IIRC that aired in Europe with subtitles but was made in the US with some rapper as moderator, customs were done by West Coast Customs. Don't think they lasted long with these quick fixes anyways.

I couldn't watch that show because I couldn't understand their language. Total mystery what they were saying.

West coast customs had their own show going on, on the speed network. Saw it a couple times before speed disapeared. Still doing the exact same work..

Come on dawg! Erry whip be needing a fish dank in da back!

I purely watched it for foreign language educational reasons and never inhaled. :)
