I am putting this out there to my fellow C-body lovers. Except for the breakdown pic, none at this time. Going to wait over the weekend and see if Joey comes up with a fix for re-sizing pics and if not will try a different route. I will include as much info as possible to give you a fair idea about the car. I will have owned it for 25 years this coming August. It is an original California car and sometime in its' life went to Florida. The elderly lady I purchased it from bought it off a dealer lot in Florida(still has the dealer sticker on rear bumper)and drove it to NJ back in 1991 and then promptly put it up for sale. That is as much of the owner history I know. Car has been garaged for the past 23+ years. It is Pale Gold Poly and was repainted sometime before my purchase. I believe it is lacquer. Car is far from perfect but besides the repaint virtually everything else is original. All chrome, stainless, vinyl top,etc on the exterior has never been touched. Some paint is chipping off near the trim where it was taped and you can see some over spray here and there. Rust free except for some surface rust on the underside of hood near battery location.
Has the original 383-4barrel,intake,air cleaner, distributor, etc. Drivetrain, including rear has never been opened or out of the car. Has just under 106,000 miles. I purchased it with 99,200. A GM guy must have owned it at one time as there is some black spray paint on the inner wheel wells and rad support. Has original radiator also. I replaced the original water pump a year or so after purchase for reliability. Still have the original. Replaced fuel pump(was squirting)last year and retained the original. Does have E3 plugs and Pertronix ignition which was done about 2 years ago. Also replaced the rag joint with a billet aluminum one. Has a newer master cylinder. Carb was rebuilt about 2 years ago also.
Interior is completely original including dash pad(cracked),carpet, upholstery(small seam split on driver side),headliner(split seam),full length center console, etc.
Car should have some front end work done as bushings are not the best, tires(not from wear but age), and probably rear brakes. I believe the rear drums to be original. Right side axle bearing was replaced about 2 years ago.
As I said, this car is far from perfect but it is basically an all original, unrestored, driver. It has won several trophies in car shows that have had an original/unrestored class. I get a good many a compliment on it and 100% of the people say leave it as is.
I am torn about possibly putting it up for sale but have my eye on another vehicle and would not only need the money from this one but also the garage space. Of course I could just keep it and enjoy it but kind of getting the itch for something different.
I know everyone is going to want pics but I am looking for honest opinions on what you think it may be worth. I know, whatever someone is willing to pay for it, lol!! Also would take into consideration a serious offer if you are interested. Thanks for reading!!
