If anyone wants a project Sportsgrain let me know. I have one I'm going to sell if I ever dig it out of my storage bay. It's REALLY buried.

I like the sportgrain option. I had a 68 for awile but never finished the restoration.... I got to far upside down and traded it off

The 69 version was not as attractive. I think there was a full size Mercury version of a two door w/woodgrain offered sometime in the 60's also.

there was a 69 newport rag @ carlisle last year, it was red/woodgrain and blk interior.

the mercury was a park lane, 66-67 i think, i've seen a few of them.

The wood trim was available on 1968 Mercurys, they called it yacht paneling with the non station wagons.
Like it better on station wagons, but if the base color fits it can be harmonic on other body styles as well. This met. blue itself on the Chrysler looks good but not really fitting with the Sportsgrain option.

I would replace the faux wood for faux diamond plate on a Steel Gray car. Trim it out in stainless steel...
