1978 Chrysler Newport

I don't suppose it can get through PA safety inspection with the front bumper height??
A lot of effort to ruin this car...

Dammit, I love it! Don't ask me why, I just do. It looks bad *** and I think it would make a killer winter beater. Not for 4K though...
The wipers and ac probably don't work.

Same here.

I'd put a plow on it.

John

I thought about it but plows can be tough on vehicles and this one deserves better.

I'd say it could be a fantastic replacement for Ricky's Shitbox.
BTW, I see Mr. Lahey and Lucy have gone upscale with their new cars.

I'd drive it! For 1/4 the money. But I'd drive it. Gas can inside passenger compartment seals the deal!

I am so disappointed in yinz guys enthusiasm... :(

TPB are the greatest!

Number one topic of discussion when my Canadian Army buddies come to APG to train/test. LOL!

Mmmm. I'm on the fence with this one.. I DO thinks it's cool, an to repurpose it like that was an interesting choice.. :confederateflag:.. I'm on the fence because! Was the car trashed in ways that it couldn't be put back on the road as designed by Chrysler? Now if HE/They trashed a perfectly good Newport! Then shame shame.. Hell I'm from Ala.. We used to turn anything into a 4x4.. Lol

If it has the ATCII... That could be deal breaker.. Lol

Check out that HUGE floor shift.. Talk about "Size matters" lol

It is a Newport its okay. NYB or Imperial well then there is a problem. You gotta lighten up Jeff its a rusty car made useful again.

That's EXACTLY the point I was making.. Greats minds think alike..
Apologies gentlemen, I may have put too much of my view point on this one. I have never even owned a 4wd and doubt I ever will. I see this as a waste of time and effort and the ultimate destruction of whats left of something I likely would have considered a parts car. I can't say that I like it or approve of it... It looks like a great way to not see the car in front of you or if you hit it, to completely miss the bumpers until the front tires get there.

Not too sure you would want to plow with that visibility either, pretty sure your front axle won't forgive the first parking tie or curb you find. Now if this is you're cup of tea... I understand.Redneck Yacht Club Mud Park

No worries my friend.. we all have legitiment views and opinions. I just like seeing the car live again, vis rotting away in a forgotten field. But parting it out would serve the greater good as well, Serving many people. again, assuming it was beyond help in the first place.
