It must take 10 minutes for that 318 tp get that monster to 80 mph. I wonder what the gas mileage is with the SB? 19 mpg city - 22mpg highway??

Oh yes, I like that Artic blue paint. The picture would look outstanding if the glare from the sun was eliminated. Should of took the picture from the driver's side.

Love the color combo, more pics this time but no price. I think he was asking 5K before. If it were down the street I'd go give him 3k for it.

Would you put the 440 back in her?

It's a modern Sanden conversion. NOTHING wrong with that.

Nope there's NOTHING wrong with the sanden, I agree. There's EVERYTHING wrong with putting that 318, w/a sanden conversion mind you, between the frame rails of a 67' Chrysler Imperial -- even a Crown Imperial. What did the 440 go on strike?? This is the second time in my entire life I've ever seen a 318 in an Imp. First time was in a fuselage Imperial LeBaron. THAT was sad.

Hate to burst you bubbles there guys...but that's a C171 A/C compressor. Used by Ma-Mopar from the mid 70's on up into the early 90's. That whole motor...with brackets and such, appear to be from some mid 80's truck or van. Those were the only ones that ran those huge engine brackets that incorporated the Alternator and A/C compressor.

I'm sure no bubbles are bursting over this, we all know that whatever is under the hood of that beautiful coupe doesn't belong there anyway.I certainly would put a 440 in it, that or a 528 Hemi...

haha, don't short change that 318. they have more get up and go than most realize. my '68 fury has a 318 in it and it hauled a little. do a little headwork and those suckers open right up. i'm building mine at the moment, and expect 300-330hp out of it in a very manageable little package. my fury got around 19mpg.

I agree. When I had my 70 Sport Fury it was a teener too. I never had a problem with get up a go. And when I switched to a 360 it was even better.

I too also had a gulp, 318 in my very first mopar....a 72 Dodge Charger (Yes, a B body...sorry)..but any speaking for myself I'm not knocking the 318 in as much as it being in that Imperial.

I was very fond of my Charger and its 318 by the way.

I'd buy that Imp and not give a crap about it being a 318. Everything moves 15 MPH under the speed limit down here anyway. This ain't Montana..

What is the top end of a motorized wheelchair nowadays...

Well, it probably had it's heart ripped out for some clapped out Dart. I for one am happy to see it back on the road, even if the 318 looks lost under that hood (which it does). Better than that sweet car being derbied or in the scrap heap. My 10 cents.
