67-68 Imperial Marker light question

Are these lights supposed to be “on” when the headlights are “on” or when the marker lights? Or both?

For 1968 that light only comes on when you turn your right side turn signal on with the headlights or parking lights on.

As mentioned, what you have circled is the cornering lamp. The side marker is the square amber one on the bumper.
