Another antenna question

Was it an option to have the antenna on placed on the rear fender?
I’ve seen one 65 Sporty with it like that. (Midnight Rider, is yours factory?)
Different look kinda like it.

On Chryslers of that vintage, a power antenna was usually on the rh rr quarter. Placed relative to the total height of the mast on the motor, it seems.

If a full-manual antenna, perhaps it was a dealer-installed radio and antenna situation? But the base bezel would need to match the metal contours, which might be "the clincher".

Just some thoughts,

My '65 300L has the optional rear mount power antenna. I don't think this option was available as a factory option on the Plymouths and Dodges, but was a dealer installed option.
