I used to get those notes on my black 71 Monaco coupe all the time, but never responded, wasn't interested in selling my car I had owned for years, spent lots of time and money on and frankly loved. Then one day I'm approaching my car in a thrift store parking lot and there's an old fellow sitting on a mobility scooter who would not take no for an answer. He threw out a ridiculous number that I couldn't even take seriously and left me his phone number. Two days later I called him to "call him on his bluff", "oh I wasn't bluffing" he says. Two hours after that we made the exchange and I still to this day can't believe that it actually happened. I still miss that car though and it wasn't even close to as nice as yours.

The best deal (for me) I ever sold was the rusty original bumpers on my 78 NYB....$600 for the pair. I was at the Lowe's car show and this guy with another 78 NYB noticed the new bumpers on my NYB. He asked what I did with the old ones. He didn't even hesitate when I said $600. The guy put them on his 78 NYB. I was going to throw them away.
That was dumb luck. Good for you. Shortly before moving to FL in 91, I had an offer for the 72 Newport of 3500, I had about 500 into it and more vehicles than I could possibly move. 2 days before we were to meet and finish the transaction a bunch of us took it to the bar so our DD could drive us all. Bastard took a 30mph curve at about 80mph and the one tiny unnoticeable stone chip in the windshield made it 2/3rds across. $600 mistake.

Ross any news on the on our old yellow Pimperial in Isrial? Hope its up and running again! How much do you think to bring it back home? I was looking at pictures of the yellow Pimperial, I had it for 32 years and came up with that name along with Banana Boat, God that was a pretty car, miss it! Like to see more pictures of your pimped out 72!

I hope you're great. Hemi still loves the banana boat but he recently had to have the engine rebuilt. I'm getting ready to ship him some bumperettes & that quart of paint that came with her.
I'll find some more pictures of the Pimperial but I don't have any on this computer.
