I strongly feel this is the location
The church in the background looks a lot like the one at
300 South Los Robles Avenue, Pasadena, CA
The craftsman style houses are VERY popular in this area.
The houses at this location were gone in 77 (there in 72), the earlier aerials are not sharp enough to see the roof lines.
There in nothing to contradict this location.
