2024 below. Clearly moving into middle age, with the character lines to prove it. Still nice looking lady.
Maybe she's in for better days, and hopefully some of the personal drama behind her. when my nearly 40 year old girls (who grew up watching her) start paying attention to her, artistically, Ill know she's made it back.

Age 42. Actor, born in NYC.
She's one of those actors, working steadily since her late teens, blessed in a way to look a lot now like she did back when she started in the business.
Mainly filmed theatrical work - dramas, rom-coms, sci-fi, sexy-on-the-edge adult stuff - she's been versatile. And believable in the parts she's in. Won nearly every major acting award there is.
Came to my attention through one of my girls' favorite movies (musta seen it 10 times - still a "daddy-daughter" staple) that came out 24 years ago. I watched it, kicking and screaming, but kinda liked it. Second sequel (third movie in the franchise) coming out soon they say.
She is said to be in the movies with the highest box office grosses of the 21st century to date, like $7 billion.
From a blockbuster about scientists trying to save the earth using gravity, to a poignant drama about a bi-polar sibling potentially messing up her sister's upcoming wedding, and a heavy drama dealing with her movie husband who turns out not to be the "cowboy" she thought she married.
Below, high school senior right before she made it big. Her face has hardly changed now in her early 40's. Eyes & smile give her away to me.

Her oldest son and one of her brothers have that ability too. I've sat and watched movies with her and her son, and they start going back and forth about some not very well known actor that just appeared on the screen. Between the two of them, they will list the movies that actor has been in without missing a beat. It's a little scary. His wife and I will look at each other and we just shrug.
Got it. The movie list from princess to musical to the bat, yep that's her.

She's been in a lot of stuff that was very successful commercially. I know her young (way back in 2001) from Princess Diaries (my kids love it), and then her older stuff: Interstellar, Devil Wears Prada, Brokeback Mountain, and Rachel Getting Married (resonated as I have bi-polar disorder in the family).
She was Catwoman once in a Batman movie and a theatrical version of Les Misérables (I went to sleep on that one in movies, but not on Broadway)

Much bigger fame found on the small screen, vs, movies, coming up on 50 years ago. Made it "big" wearing "small" things named after her.
Still being worn today, but unless your'e a gangster rap videeo chick, advertise your wares in the evening on street corners, or a burlesque dancer its probably NSW to wear these things around in public
She never became big beyond the one iconic network TV series she was a co-star in (a mopar was th real star, literally hundreds of them wrecked filming stunts no car can survive) but she was "eye-candy/pin-up/poster material" for a long time (until father time caught up with her as he does with us all).
Always an attractive "girl" -- maybe a bit type-cast for many of the gigs she got after her main TV show ended in the mid '80's?
She's still quite popular even as a senior citizen with the B-body gear heads at car shows/other vehicle venues..

Yeah that one is real easy, but maybe because I'm same age and watched her show just to see HER back in the day. Didn't even need to see the photo to get her, just the clues you gave told me who it was.
