Name that girl

New Game

Age 84 now.
Entertainer, (singer, songwriter). State of Alabama girl, but made it big in California.

A "Yacht Rock" favorite (i dig her music - reminds me of simpler times in my own life), sang about rodents in love, was married to a "dragon" for nearly 40 years" (he passed away a few years ago) & part of their time together he was also a pretend "captain" and perfoming partner.

At this age, and her musical style, (active for 50 years, and although she still performs even now on ocassion), one probably must be a certain vintage [age] to know a lot about her from when she was selling a lot of records.

I DID NOT recognize her from this pic beforehand. Afterward, it was like, "of course" that's her. Eyes and smile remain flashing even way up there in age now.

Pic somewhere near her high school graduation in late 50's.

Answer in a couple days. Dunno if this game is "easy" - it is straightforward tho.

Mid '70's, with husband, Darryl Dragon (stage nickname, the "Captain", allegedly cuz he liked "performing in nautical" caps"). They divorced after being married for 37 years. They sold 3-4 million "albums" together.

Video below is "Muskrat Love". Catcchy, but not my favorite tune of theirs. The other one (I am more a fan of), is"Love Will Keep Us Together."

New Game

Age 51.
Actor, born in Guelph, Ontario (Canadadian ey?).

One of my kids (was sure this girl was now over 50 years old - I thought "no way", but sure enough she will even be 52 this year) favorite actors from a long-running teen/family oriented network drama television show that debuted in 1994. It ran for six seasons, nearly 150 episodes.

A couple of other girls from this particular show - all grown up too - have been games in this thread too, but first time for this girl. This girl went on to a very successful movie career, one particular horror franchise stands out. The seventh movie in that series is coming next year.

I know her from the movies, not TV (except peripherally, through my kids). Below, in her early teens, and she still has these girlishs looks in her middle/middle age. I think this is an easy game as these games go. Her looks relatively constant as she has aged.

Answer in a couple days.

No clue. Back to the bomb shelter…

I was feeling Muskrat Love over the previous one.

They lived somewhere near Carson City, or had an extra house there. A friend of mine did a lot of carpentry on their home; said they were very nice people.

Too bad about Darrell. While I found his eyes fascinating, he was always ashamed of them. Committed suicide.

Answer to #2,384 tomorrow, 3/31, in the early am EDT, since more seem to have her. Last set of inconnected hints for this girl: one of her TV co-stars (30 years ago) grew up and turned into Name that Girl #772 (age 42 now).

Our girl in this game did a lot less "cheesecake" than #772 above, but turned out ultimately to have more big-screen success than this lady..

#772 is in a couple other places on FCBO (e.g., here as well. They both grew up to have bankable movie star looks though.

So did #772's co-star in the "who-dun-it" (that girl is here on FCBO too) if we're talking about the one that comes to my mind. To bad that other girl had a rough time being maried to an odd duck (in his defense, he was quite "troubled" there for a while and seems to be "flying right" now - good on him!) in real life for a while.

#2,384 Neve Campbell.

Made it big in television (Party of Five) in late 1990's and right outta that into the Scream horror movie franchise.

I kinda know of her more through my millennial daughters, vs. being drawn to the stuff she's been in (not quite my demographic in most of her early career).

Lacey Chabert (#772) was a child star with Neve in Parfty of five, while Denise Richards co-starred with her in Wild Things (a who-dun-it, 1998, movie wasn't that good to me).

Neve is still relatively young for someone in show business for almost 40 years (since 1989).

But of course, we aint all old men with hats here, so I try to spread it around by picking as OP folks i DONT know, then try to solve it first. :poke:

thanks for playing.

The only one of those movies/shows I have watched is the Lincoln Lawyer. Now that I know that she was in that, I recognize her.
