My newly acquired 1972 Newport Custom. One family owned, from the Flint MI area. 7,800 original miles, unrestored, and basically flawless. Heading to Carlisle in July, be sure to say hello!

Congrats on acquiring CM23M2C318782 -- @69CoronetRT and @cuda hunter will be delighted to see the build sheet, and we all would like to see the fender tag of your Newport Custom too.
@Xlratr owns a 1972 Newport Custom in the same HB1 blue -- see his thread here and here.
You may also find The 1972 Chrysler Thread useful. Perhaps you could post the fender tag there?
I'll be at Carlisle, for sure with Ming (my 1973 NYB) and possibly with Buttercup, my 1972 NYB. Be sure to say hello!

Here’s the fender tag. I’ve got a lot of cleaning and light reconditioning to do before Carlisle, so I apologize for the picture. Some lines are hard to read. The car was unfortunately improperly stored in a barn for a few decades with the hood up… I have hope it’ll clean up nice. Although on such a low mile original car, I’m on the fence about touch ups as I don’t want to go TOO far and get into restoring an original car.

PS: I see that your car has the H53 AutoTemp II. Luckily, this system can be fixed -- @saforwardlook has posted detailed instructions if you get around to it.

Mercedes used the AutoTemp II components from Chrysler around the same time, so you can also look there too for sources. If you look, this guy has an electronic replacement for the control box. Mercedes used the same large controller with all the vacuum hoses going into it. That is an amazing find! While the mechanicals are barely past "break-in", the rubber items have continued to age. Possibly slower if the car has been in a garage all of this time, but still aged and not ethanol-resistant.
Similarly, the factory lubes have aged-out, too. So they will all need to be changed for best results. Plus the tires and fuel pump.
To me, the next challenge would be to carefully remove and photo-document the parts carefully removed and then replace them with OEM-level hoses and such. Not to disturb the OEM appearance and function. Then you could start a "Garage" thread on your activities in getting the car road-worthy again. The one variable situation could be the timing chain sprocket with the nylon/plastic teeth. Might play that one "by ear"?
Is there a "Survivor" show at Carlisle?
