1962 Chrysler 300 new to me

Good morning
I just picked up a 300 non letter and am looking for all the pics I can find (original) and resources.
This was a desert car so there is no rust and great patina but the interior is shot. I am in Oceanside CA so I am looking for good upholstery shops that can handle that age. I have the door panels, chrome for the headliner, no rear deck and a cracked dash. I also have all the seats. Everything needs to be redone so I need help with that’s. Plus I need all new weather stripping. I think that’s a start.

Gary Goers used to supply OEM/Show Quality interiors for the 300 letter cars. Not sure whatever happened to his company or if somebody has replaced his entity? Might check with both of the 300 Letter Car clubs for information on seat upholstery kits.

Might ALSO look inside the bottom of the doors for evidence of sand silting-in and residing there through wet times and such. Hopefully not much there!

Don't forget rubber bushings in the suspension and body mounting areas, too.

It'll be great when done!

Do you want stock or custom interior? If the latter, I have a name of a guy in Fresno that does great work. It would be a drive for you, but worth it in my opinion.

Congrats! My wife drove a 62 300 4 door hardtop for a decade or so when we were first married.
122" wheelbase instead of the NYer 126" means it's easier to find parts for the front of that car than if it was a NYer. Nice riding/handling cars. After the 300, she had a NYer wagon with power everything. It is pretty easy to adapt front brakes from a 63/64 Chrysler so you can get away from the multiple wheel cylinder front brakes of the 62 with its manual adjusting cams, etc. Also, a company called AAJ Brakes in the northwest makes a bolt on disc brake conversion that uses Cordoba and Monte Carlo parts if you want to go to disc.

Thanks for the heads up on AAJ. I have talked to them and am going to go with their kit. Looks way better and easier than willwood.
