This is the tag under in the engine bay..

Any idea what they represent?
I've worked out some of them. Can you tell what rear axle is fitted? Sure grip?

From the look of the sticker to the right of the Data Plate, I'm suspecting it is a middle 1970s or so car? Yes, the axle ratio should be on the tag. A better picture would help, though.

In general, the format template for the Data Plate is in the front of the 1970s Chrysler Parts Manual, in the INFO section in the front. A list of the option codes can be found in the Library section of the Dealer Order Guide at www.hamtramck-historical.com (might have to manually input that address). Follow the prompts to get to your model year and such.

The bulk of online decoders are for the more popular B- and E-body cars. Although there are some cross-overs of option codes, some do not exist in C-body land.

when the car gets to england look for the buildsheet.
it will give all the info - assuming the correct buildsheet is in the car, sometimes they'd get put in the wrong car.

when ypu find it we can help you figure it out but in the meantime search the site for info on buildsheets and where to find them.
usually in a seat back or underneath the rear seat

No there is no rear axle info on your 1973 Imperial 2 door body tag.

Look on your broadcast sheet for a column labeled PIN. I have circled one in red I believe is the PIN and it says 29 which would be 2.9 gears.

If you look at the top left second line down the will be a D code for axle and that will tell more, hard to read your sheet on here.

Thanks for thinking of me. My interest and decoder is limited to 1960-1966 with some mild interest in 1967-68. No use reinventing an existing decoder.

Just don't try and pull on the sheet itself. Grab the springs and pull them away from the paper to release it without damaging the sheet any further. It actually looks in pretty good shape, but, they can be very fragile after all this time.

Great. I will be careful. I want to preserve as much information as possible. I do know that the car came from New Hampshire.

YM23T3C172233 if I see correctly. For help with the fender tag codes, see here:

I would be happy to do the decode but have zero time now due to work.
