1957 Chrysler Saratoga or compatible body repair panels and window seals

Hello FL folks, for those who haven’t seen my intro in the welcome wagon, I have recently purchased a ‘57 Saratoga 4 dr sedan. I am a total newcomer to this era of Mopar and have many questions but will separate them under different headings so that others using the search may find any info more easily.

It needs a few jobs involving a welder, namely -

Trunk floor
Drivers side rear quarter at the bottom
Drivers side sill just in front the rear arch
Rear screen opening along the bottom
Passenger side wing lower, behind wheel arch

My question is, if available will repair panels from other models of the year/era fit directly?

Also, are screen seals and door shut available, is there an interchange?

Any pointers/info very gratefully received.
 
Congrats on your purchase and WELCOME! Lots of information at www.mymopar.com (might need to manually enter those addresses). As in parts manuals, factory service manuals, and other information. The jholst.net website is related more to the Chrysler 300 Letter Cars, but a lot of the other information can cross-over into normal Chrysler products of the time.

Perhaps some more Forward Look enthusiasts in here might respond to your questions.

DO NOT TRY JHOLST WEB SITE!!!!!!!!!

I just wanted to see if it's still open as the owner of that site died in a car crash a while ago. I tried the site and it immediately downloaded a trojan horse virus.

I'm having a hell of a time getting rid of it. I may need to take this over to the computer shop tomorrow.

Thanks both, I’ve signed up to mymopar so hopefully I’ll get access to some parts catalogues etc.

I just dropped my laptop off at the shop. This was a new laptop that had the free trial of virus protection, but I had let it lapse a day or two ago. I was going to renew it, but hadn't figured out if I wanted that or something else.

Hindsight being 20/20, I see that was a $100 (shop fee) mistake.

The 300 letter car club took it upon themselves to preserve John Holst's work with all the reference links after he passed. (He was a member) This one is safe!

A bit of intuitive decoding and Google image searching, I’m guessing S & W are Saratoga and Windsor where Chryslers are mentioned in interchanges…

Most of the time SW means station wagon. I think you guys across the pond refer to them as "Estate cars".
