1970 Plymouth fury hemi

I knew Butch’s car from a magazine article many years ago. It’s a phenomenal feat, even though I don’t quite see any real benefits in putting a hemi into such a heavy car. The hemi makes its torque at too high a rev range. A blueprinted 440 E86 beats a stock hemi on the quarter mile, when put into similar weight C-Body. It’s the torque that moves our boats, and the lower the rev range, the better.

Im sure that was an itch he needed to scratch. Everyone has a 440 under the hood. Hell of a job he did .
