I looked at it again this am, and the more I look the more amazed I am by the little things.
The carpet is even in good shape.
The interior looks like dust, not mold, based on hte drivers doorpanel.
Both doorpanels look decent, what we can see anyway, and the carpet is even serviceable.
The underhood paint is really good, and the TNT piepan looks as good as a used one can.
I'm betting a professional detailer could make this car a night/day difference on this car.
Even the washer bottle looks like it's 90% intact.
And the biggest one: This car still has its heat stove on the HP manifold. Amazing.
What remains to be known, though, is how 'nicely' they removed the engine, how much they cut/hacked.
But seller's description of the engine assessment suggests someone with at least a certain amount of sense and consideration. (complete sentences and punctuation!)
Selling as non-running. Engine was pulled and inspected, because oil light would not shut off. Ran only at an idle like this. Oil was slimy and separating, causing oil pick up to be mostly plugged up. While it didn't look like there was any damage, unfortunately engine will have to be taken apart to make sure of any possible damage.
@ayilar I think you should buy this and get it to Wyatt's or somewhere so that someone in the FCBO group can make sure it survives.
