I went to Inspect the Hurst 300 I found on Facebook. It looked good from 50 Ft. Paint was ok, has had one repaint. Underhood shows all options and wiring intact. Unfortunately over all mechanical condition just functional. Engine would require a total rebuild, has no brakes, Front suspension the bushings are shot. Front and back seats suffer from dry rot. The carpeting was a brownish black. Any other questions PM me.

No clock? Forget it.
I stumbled upon a fix for the fuzzy image resolution. I simply cut and pasted from my spreadsheet, making a few format changes to the spreadsheet so it would drop nicely into the webpage here. The highlighting of cells doesn't make the transition, so now red lettering indicates new info or significant changes since the last Registry posting.....in this case July 15th.
We have a door date for 196859, thanks to its new owner @Moparmurph, and we have a new entry of 207591 that was for sale on FB. @david hill went to have a look at it (as he mentions above), and he's trying to get the Door Date from the new owners. We now have 82 cars. Only 400 left to find.....
I went through the whole sheet (in the Excel version) and made a lot of small editorial changes for presentation consistency such as abbreviations, etc. [You couldn't see my dumb mistakes in the previous fuzzy versions.

I'll be adding it and updating soon.
We have two bits of new information in RED, one being a Door Date for the Hurst that David Hill inspected a few weeks ago (207591). I saw a post by a new member asking something about his Hurst, so I PMd him to ask about the car. He immediately replied that the car was already in the Registry (the David car from Post 222 above). He provided the missing Date, which you now see here. The new owner is member @Steve-43, and he has several other Mopars in his collection. Hopefully he'll provide info and pics of those cars. Incidentally, he had his 1974 Dodge Monaco Brougham Station Wagon in the Carlisle Survivor Tent this year, and is planning to display his '71 Gran Coupe 4-door hardtop there in 2026. He also has a Challenger and a Lil Red Truck.
He told me that the Hurst has two build sheets....one is correct for the Hurst and the other is for a 1970 Imperial. Seems that the Imperial's seats were re-directed to the Hurst that needed them more urgently.

Consider this VIN vs. VON comparison: Look at the VINs between 230925 and 230943 and that is 18. Now look at the VONs…..23. Five more VONs than VINs? Huh? These glitches in the VIN/Date/VON sequence is how this Registry got its start with me noticing this and keeping a list of about 25 cars in late 2023.
So now we have 83 cars in the Registry.

Probably of no value to this effort but I bought a car in 97 east of Salem Oregon from a man that had a Hurst. I don't know anything about him other than next to the Hurst was a Buick GSX.
Likely long gone. In that time there was a plethora of rare Mopars in this area. They have long been dispersed. But I thought there might be someone who knew of a man that owned those two cars considering the Buick was a rare car at 124 made.

IS THIS THE LAST HURST?
Last week @david hill came across a Hurst in an obscure FB Market Place ad. It had just a few pics, including a VIN. He contacted me because he thought he found an obvious clone, because that VIN was 241389. That's the ONLY 24XXXX VIN we've seen and the "newest" VIN in our Registry is 235899 which is 5490 VINs before this single 24 number. David contacted the seller and got lots more pics with all the info that we want to see in the Registry. The car is "all there" and matching numbers, but it's rough. The seller is a Mopar guy (you can certainly tell from the Superbird and the Hemi in the pics) who wanted to restore the car but like so many rough Hursts, it got bogged down (cost, sheetmetal, time, interior, etc) and now it's for sale.
So 241389 is 5490 VINs later, but only 3 VONs later? I discussed this with @69CoronetRT who knows a thing or two about other A12 package cars (Daytona, Superbird) and the strange things that happen with VINs and VONs. He provided this possible scenario:
Dealer Ayilar orders a car in March. Factory Order Accountant/Processer nerd David assigns a VIN and VON to the car and puts the car in line for production. Ayilar is a known bad pay dealer and the order is flagged for making sure the deadbeat Ayilar puts down a deposit or pays for the car before it will be built. Sleazy dealer Ayilar drags his feet until May when the factory folks realize that he is not going to pay for the car. The specialty part inventory is waning (such as fiberglass hoods and decklids and ), and the production window for Hursts is closing. Order Processor nerd David knows a high-volume, successful and honest dealer Trace, who has an outstanding pay record. But mechanical genius Trace was busy racing his 1968 Hemi Dart around the midwest, so was late in ordering a Hurst and was put on a wait list. Canceling despicable Ayilar's order makes a car available for wonderful and wise dealer Trace. Because the VON is a function of billing, after canceling crooked Ayilar's order, nerd David generates a new invoice with a new VIN for the brilliant and loyal (and some say very handsome) Trace. This leaves--on the books--a VIN (which is the ugly lowlife Ayilar's order) but that VIN/car was never built. The J99968 VON remains because the car is scheduled for production, but a new VIN must be assigned to the grateful and heroic Trace after 5490 Chryslers (a week's worth of 300s and Newports, etc.) are scheduled and "go down the line". The Door Date for the 241389 car is June, which is exactly the case with all the 23XXX VINs and some of the 22XXX cars. The VON scheduling of the despicable Ayilar car was unchanged, thus the gap of only two VONs and a Door Date that matches those 23XXXX cars.
So this example is how a crazy gap between VIN and VON can happen and because of this particular case of "Last Car" this is probably what did happen. For us 55 years later, a car was built but one that is very far out of the predictive batch assignment ranges. If I've gotten this example very wrong, @69CoronetRT will surely chime in and straighten me out.
Are there two more 23XXXX cars after 235899? The VONs suggest that there might be. Are there any other 24XXXX cars after 241389? Nothing suggests that. So....I present to you The Last Hurst! Maybe....
Note that the car has Tilt, but S61 is not on the FT and normally it is since it's clearly a production line issue. Did someone add it in 1974 or is it an "end of run" oddity because they had a correct color Tilt sitting around? I've found that Console cars are typically Tilt and Cruise, and this car has both plus the also typical R37 AM/FM Stereo 8 Trk.
And what idiot added the Chrysler lettering to the C-panel?

So, is CM23U0G241389 still for sale out there in an obscure location?
I don't personally know, but @david hill has the FB ad. The car is in Thornton, WVA.
I checked 20 min. ago and yes it's still for sale. I would recommend a knowledgeable person inventory all parts present.
