I picked up this sweet old '77 Chrysler Town & Country wagon from a friend yesterday. It used to belong to my good friend Joe Pullen, but he sold it to a young couple I know a few years ago. They did some basic maintenance to it and just enjoyed it. They are moving and so the girl listed it for sale, but unfortunately the interest was in taking the engine and scrapping the car. She pulled the ad, and offered it to me for a smokin' deal. So I drove it home yesterday.
Best part of the drive was climbing Nanoose Hill (steep hill) on the drive back, passing everyone in the left lane doing 90 mph in a 5000 lb Chrysler haha.

It's got some neat options:
Auto lock tailgate, swings both ways
Fender mounted turn signals
AM/FM with 8 track (still works)
Power rear window, still works with the key in the door
Wheel skirts
Split bench seat with folding passenger side
Dash vents for heater
440/727
Spoiler

Plan is to do a few maintenance items such as fix an exhaust leak, probably weld some metal into the spare tire well, buff the paint, touch up the rust at the bottom, fix the drivers fender at the front, etc, and just daily drive it.

Good save, so many C bodies in good shape have ended up that way, scrapped minus engine/trans just to build yet another muscle car.

Could you please post another picture of the trim tag that is more clear?
I'm curious about the interior being parchment but the dash being gold.
What triggers that color difference.
Awesome car!!!

no, the bulk of his cars were c bodies, mainly formals & fuselages. then forward looks, and and a mix of 65 to 68s, cordobas, and others.
now whats left are in very poor condition

I'll try to get a better picture, I live in the stone ages and still use a digital camera, and it doesn't focus well on things up close lol.

I believe the dash was changed by my friend Joe who had the car, as he has a few parts cars in the field for it. It has a LeBaron script, which I doubt came with the Town & Country package.

Well that's quite the stash. I understand why the parts would be swapped around.
If it has a lebaron on the dash pad, would that make it an Imperial dash pad?

Congratulations! Thanks for saving it. These are great cars. I just love mine. Not only is the dash gold instead of parchment...it's an Imperial dash pad.

Interesting that this car has Fuselage steps bolted to the Formal rear bumper. Never saw that done before.
