I took Buttercup, my 1972 NYB, to the Antique and Classic Car Show in Rockville, MD this Saturday. Many thanks to @Imperialist67 for prodding me to go and for driving with me.

Here's a photo that I took at the entrance -- very nice 1955 Plymouth:

@73MFImperial was already there, together with his better half / fellow Mopar enthusiast / Cordoba owner. They are not in the photo, this is the owner of the Challenger (on which I reported last year) and another Mopar enthusiast:

Same car, later in the afternoon after the sun showed up (with a blue Newport in the background -- great original condition):

I was lucky, as I got the last nice spot in the Mopar row -- and was parked right next to a Mobile Director 1967 Imperial:

I have taken several photos of the Mobile Director's interior for @detmatt and @Imperialist67 but am having a hard time posting them here, no matter how much I downsample them. The car is all original, according to the owner, save for the driver-side door and front fender that were repainted two decades ago.

I have a bunch more photos and will try to post them in the next couple of days as time allows.

Nice looking Director! Anyone get a pic of the fender tag? Or talk to the owner?
What’s with all the wheel chocks?? They were mandatory?

Not I. Hood stayed down the whole time.

Yes, @Imperialist67 and I did. Any questions?

Yep. They actually offer a pair if you don't have any. The location is quite hilly, and I think it is a good idea.

To show you something interesting in this respect, look at the Citroen Ami in this photo:

There were quite a few Citroëns of the "hydropneumatic" period, 1960-1985, at the show, including two 5-speed SM Maseratis -- a 1972 and a 1974, here's the 1972:

Get all the info that is available and add it to the Directors only thread if it’s not already there.

I will get a shot of the fender tag.

Many years ago, the owner of a 56 Buick Roadmaster was sitting in a lawn chair behind his car. a late 50's Rolls Royce, in the row behind him, rolled and he was pinned between the cars. The Buick owner died in the hospital from the injuries. Wheel Chocks have been required ever since. But it wouldn't have helped in this case, as the owner of the Rolls was still parking his car and it got away from him on the hill. He wouldn't have gotten to the point of chocking the wheels.

For yesterday's show, I was parked in the spectator parking. The spectator area was just as hilly. As a spectator I watched a modern Mustang, parked in the next row, spinning it's wheels and sliding sideways on the steep hill where spectator cars were parked, just trying to get out of the row of parked cars he was in. The conditions were dry and the grass was dry, but the Mustang couldn't get up the hill. Lucky for me, My modern Challenger was parked facing down hill, with no vehicles in front of me.
