Jeff Ingraham 3k for the mod top. Massachusetts
...still, a nice car.

Has anyone here ever put eyes on this car?

Was there a thread about it? Would be grateful for a link. Looks like GM8 with paisley top and burgundy leather, a great combo.

No, that's a direct quote from his FB post, here: Chrysler Imperial-New Yorker Brougham, look for the post from August 29th:

Picked up 5 imperials two 71s a72 and a 73.the 71 maroon car has a mod roof..very clean car. If anyone is interested all cars are complete. All have been sitting inside since the late 80s. Pm me for info.. also the barn is loaded with imperial parts new and used

So, this is one of the vinyl tops that were dyed burgandy/maroon and faded back to the original left over paisley vinyl's from 1970.
I think this is a new one and there isn't a thread on this car.
This fella that has this for sale is on a few of the C body fakebook groups. Been for sale for like 4 days or something close.
There are not many of these vinyl roof's still in existence. Cool collectors piece.

268 4drhtops were made according to this word of mouth(finger) on this thread via @marko .

Please notice that the pictures that were installed there have been removed. Sure makes it difficult to do much research on these threads without the pictures. That's why I post them, as much as to look at it in the present.
Any mods have anything to add to my concern of all these pictures disappearing?

YM43T1C123830 is painted GM8 indeed -- single year, single make color!

Perfect spec IMHO except for H53. The good news, though, is that this is a 1971 and so it has AutoTempII which is readily fixable (unlike the tricky AutoTempI of 1969-1970).

I just reposted in the YM43T1C111774 thread the photos that I'd saved. Please check my post for a suggestion as to how to avoid deleting -- FCBO is not the cause of the issue AFAIK, i.e., the photos disappear when the FB ad is pulled (assuming that you have just linked to/embedded the FB pics rather than downloaded the pics to your device and then uploaded them ton FCBO, which is what I do -- you lose resolution because FCBO does not want to spend too much on web storage, but the pics stay as long as FCBO is around).

Car is now sold, from the seller:
Sold sold sold sold..thanks everyone for the nice words and inquiries,...................very nice original 1971 imperial with the very rare mod top with no rips or tears maroon with maroon leather.. car is loaded. Off the road since 1986. Car turns over. Very nice condition. 5000 sold with a bill.of sale

Are they smashing up five thousand dollar cars? Where is the threshold?
Apparently yes, unlikekly every Imperial they smash is a $5K car (maybe total investment is?), but they are not known for being cheapskates. There's money to be made for professional drivers/teams, I'm guessing that the average demo guy probably loses money and just does it for fun or tradition.

Hey Polara71, exactly where are all the Imp for sale? I really want a '72.
Doc created a thread specifically for '72 and '73 Imperials for sale, here:
