I brought home another one, last on the road in 2007. I couldn't help myself.
1972 Chrysler Newport Custom, with a 400, 727. Equipped with A/C, cruise control, power split bench seat, and front discs.
I was told the car came from Arizona which would explain how rust free it is.

It needs a good wash, but it runs, I was driving it around the yard last night.

Here's the fender tag broken down..

Very nice Newport Custom sedan! I happen to like the white/green combo.

It'd be great if you could post the fender tag for records, either here or in the 1972 Chrysler Thread.

V5F would be green BSM vinyl inserts, not stripes (stripes would be V7F);
I don't see the code for power bench seat -- "only" D7F6 which is the fancy 3-in-1 dividend bench seat;
D34 in 1972 simply means "auto trans" -- whether light or heavy duty, we don't know.

Thanks for that, I just entered the fender tag into an online decoder, that's what it gave me.
The green vinyl inserts makes more sense. I'm pretty sure this is original paint on the car, though I found some receipts from 2007 in the glove box saying the under hood and trunk pan were repaired and painted.
Hmm, yeah no code for the power bench, but it does have it, and the seats look original.

Thank you for the update. If you can post a photo of the fender tag, that'll be super.
