This differential was in the trunk of my 73 Polara Police car. It has the Mopar 5x4.5 bolt pattern but I don't know what it is. Anybody?

The pictured axle is a 9-1/4" axle. It is a late build 1976 or 1977 and later axle, if the cover is original to the unit.
Thanks. All the pictures I found showed the 9.25 cover was flat top and bottom while mine is only flat on the bottom. Must be a certain years thing.

Google lens says this when analyzing the photo of the back

It is difficult to definitively identify the exact model of the rear end from the image alone, as specific casting numbers or bolt counts are needed. Based on general characteristics, this appears to be an integral carrier type differential with a cover on the back, possibly a Dana 35 or a GM 10-bolt type axle, but this is not certain without further information.
Identification Methods: Rear ends are typically identified by the shape of the cover, the number of bolts on the cover, and any casting numbers or tags on the housing.
Cover Shape: The cover has a distinct, somewhat oval shape with a drip mark visible.
Common Types: Common rear ends with a similar cover design include the Dana 35 (often found in Jeeps) and various GM 10-bolt axles (like the 7.5, 8.2, or 8.5-inch ring gear versions). Ford 9-inch models have a front-loading "hog-head" carrier and no rear cover.
