Happy New Year everyone.

Headed up to Winsted,MN to grab a much needed parts car for the 4 speed build and got to see the rest of Scotts collection.

I think I'll be making a deal on the Dart come spring time.

I really like that fire truck! Glad it's going to a friend.
If that falls through I'd be into that one.
What is the asking for the wagon, Pm me if need be.

Its headed to Montana to be with his buddy out there next spring.

Wagon is pretty much the only one left available as i am having A body day dreams these days.
Seeing the wagon makes me think about Scott hitching a ride home from Illinois with me. He was trying to get me to take it off his hands.

Ive thought about the requisition of it multiple times. I probably should but im not feeling it. Especially since the bucket Seats have been removed.

Maybe someone with some slabby experience can help me here.

The 4 speed car has a Vinyl Top and a rear window gasket. Thin trim

The parts car has no vinyl and no gasket for the rear window, seems to be glued in like Fuselage cars with wider trim.

Is the glass interchangeable? Is the difference the vinyl top?

Someone here has to know.

I don’t know 66 as well as 68, but in 68 2 dr was glued in and 4 doors had the seal. I found this when looking for a nonexistent gasket for my rear window. I learned from the parts book, comparing the rear windows in 68.
In this case could it be a Canadian thing? I know @Polara_500_Jr has a few 65 parts cars which are closer than my 68, but I think half of his cars are convertibles.

Looking at the 66 parts book. It seems it could have been a by factory thing. Weather strip 23-63-112, Rear window 23-64-314.
Both styles were offered for Dodge, Plymouth and Newport. The windows are different part numbers. But there is no indication of when one or the other was used.
The big question being how different are the window frames? Now to dig deeper into the rear trims are there any notes on those that may designate when the non- gasket was used?
The gasket was different for vinyl top vs non vinyl top. (Edit )from the pictures the 4 speed and parts car do not have the same tops, vinyl and no vinyl? That is one reason why the trim is different and we see from my next post the trim was also different between Cemented in window and rubber strip window.

Fun Fun Fun
