OK bought a lower hose from ebay and the lower hose is to big (diameter). Is the 65 22" lower hose not the same as a 66 26" radiator? Thank for the information .

Service Manuals usually don't always specify hose diameters or lengths. The aftermarket parts books, which can be accessed via Rock Auto "INFO" pages, should have that dimension, though.

Once in the RockAuto website, after going through the menu to get to the parts listing for hoses, click on a particualr hose, then the "INFO" icon. Once that page comes up, click on the manufacturer's logo in the upper left corner area of the page. THAT takes uou to that manufacturer's catalog. Once the part number is verified, there should be a "buyer's guide" section in the back that will list the hose and all of the applications they claim it will fit. On that "INFO" page, there might be a "Specifications" box which might have the hose diameters in it.

eBay listings are notoriously incorrect. Never trust them.

A small block radiator has a smaller diameter lower outlet. Are you using a '66 radiator from a small block car?

For what it's worth, NAPA number for a '65 413 lower hose is 7342 and is 1 3/4" inner diameter. Small block would need a 1 1/2" inner diameter and there is a hose that has a 1 3/4" diameter at one end and 1 1/2" at the other. I don't have a number for that hose though.

Not sure if this is helpful or not, but on my 1963 New Yorker with the 413, I used Napa lower hose NBH 7648. Some trimming was required for the proper length.

If you go to the technical section of the Chrysler 300 International website, they have a Napa Part Number cross reference for every letter car. Whatever it says for the L is the part you need. The guys behind the counter are so bad nowaways I just come in with the part number.
