had originally saw this on CL, think it was posted here a member friend of mine said he had a hard time getting to even look at the car. was owned by a man who was now in his 70s and in bad health, but the younger guy wanted to do right by him and sell it for good money. anyway, Apparently he got 9300 out of the 9500 he was asking. Now it's on Ebay and the guy's reserve is 15500. the weird thing is that it appears to have TNT engine but it is for sure a 5th digit K VIN. the seller said the underhood tag is missing. Anyway, I'm going to email him a link so that he perhaps he'll realize it isn't a real TNT car, though he says it's number matching (?) anyway, he's obviously not trying to fool anyone, i just worry someone else might assume it came with a TNT car from the factory. Looks like i nice car, probably wished it was around when i bought mine, but no point in looking in the past (who me?)

hope everyone is safe out there.

This one looks like it went beyond just a pie plate. Dual snorkel, orange, looks like HP manifolds. Engine swap perhaps, but says numbers match. Are we sure its a "K" code.....?
I like the car.

hey there, i asked him a few times if he was sure, and he said he wasy. also, the guy selling it the first time for the elderly man checked it and told me it was a K digit as well (?)

I just responded to the ebay site with this question. If it is a "K" code then only the broadcast sheet will answer the question.
ok, thanks, so are you saying it could have came through with a TNT and a K code? Has that ever been documented?

Thus proving my point from an earlier discussion that using TNT pie plates on a non-TNT engine is a problem.
You don't put SFGT strobe decals on a Sport Fury and you don't put a TNT pie plate on a std. 440. Exact same thing.

Why would that be? Are you the Mopar Police? I am guessing this car must have really got under your skin, originally a 383 2bbl car, not even the the right bodystyle to be a GT and a damn 440 SUPER COMMADO on a 440! What the heck. Man I liked it though...

Oh yeah the Road Runner didn't leave the factory with the performance hood paint either...I guess next time I buy a car I will just order one from the used car factory....do you have the website handy?

Sure you do, if you want to. Following your logic, you shouldnt have painted your car two tone because someone might think it came that way....

****, it's the exact same thing. And I get called out on it every time.
And same for the Champion radiator.
And the wrong year radio.
And for the oil gauge.
And the "440" decal on the air cleaner. And I'm sure only Mr C would catch that.

You can't. But one goes ahead anyway because there are a thousand more out there with way less originality and are more desirable.
Just don't screw with a '77, 2 Dr, no vinyl roof, manual A/C, cloth interior, 440, authentic police package, NYB.
I will have to say something.

A little touchy? My Monaco 500 is a Frankenstein comprised of a 318 and 383 car as well as the power train out of a 77 New Yorker. I expect and enjoy the banter of those who look at my fender tag and challenge me. Part of the fun of the hobby.

not to stir up anything but my 2 cents.

It's not necessarily banter if presented as one way is correct ... " my way " ... all other ways are heresy and absolutely wrong / criminal intent without any room for personal choice in what a person wants to do with their property

I'm not citing examples or indicating Stan here ... more of a general comment regarding what I've seen all over the internet.

Well said and said quite a bit nicer than I would....do we have the "ignore this member" capability on this message board? Never mind I found it.

My '70 ex-WSP car is a "PM" (M=medium) so would this car be the same...the second letter is the one in question.
