Kid with ballcap
I stumbled upon this on Craigslist in one of my nationwide searches a few months back. I believe it was posted here too. I've always wanted a Wagon but would not settle for a Plymouth or Chrysler. I took a shot in the dark after minimal pictures were sent. The seller was an older gentleman that didnt seem to have too much experience with a smart phone. From what I could see I couldn't go wrong at the very cheap asking price.
Its a 69 Polara 9 passenger wagon. 318 automatic. The block is cracked and I could care less. I have several 383s waiting for a new home. The plan is to do an engine swap. Tidy up the interior and get it on the road, restoration down the road. Main thing is getting it road ready and slap a hitch on it to tow the other Dodges around!
I have purchased a 69 Polara 6 passenger as a donor in Nebraska about a month ago. It is very rough but has some cool options and lots of goodies to donate. 383. Cruise. Tilt. Tow package.
The Servprolara should have been here in the beginning of February. Due to the Weather in Idaho and my original transport guy not having a pair...I contacted a different broker Monday morning and it was picked up last night at about 8PM mountain time.
I am very excited. Not sure what to expect because I foolishly pulled the trigger without a bunch of pictures. But I like to gamble so...Friday I will know what I am working with. From what I've seen...she looks very good to start. That's all I want. A good start. Rust does NOT scare me too much but of course I am hoping for the best. I was told it sat on gravel at an Airport for years until he got it last spring. He drove it to the spot in his field and parked it because the engine block is cracked. I quickly pulled the trigger when he had said he had people interested in it for a demo car. I could NOT let it die like that. Deal was made. Money was wired and I started collecting parts.
