Looking for a single provincial license plate (any province) for a 1968, but it has to be a truck or pickup tag.

I've got a few '68-vintage US plates I'd trade on for a nice truck tag. What'cha got out there?

So you've peaked my interest. How do you tell a Truck plate in Canada. I saw a reference to plates starting with L for trucks over 3000 Kg's but not sure which province it was for. Thanks.

My plate pile was right there so I snapped a pic. You'll have to know what the truck code is for the province. Some don't have codes other than farm "F" and I doubt NWT even had that. Even now, I believe Ontario is the only province with truck plates. Alberta 1968 plates are the same colour scheme as the 1971's.

I figured Canada had truck plates in all provinces. So, in that case, I'd take a '68 plate, period. What'cha got???

In Ontario they were dated by the month eg Dec.1968 I have some but no pic at the moment, later on it was a yearly thing wit the month decal that u stuck to the windshield

I don't have any '68s, as you can see My preference is '71s. Antique stores always have a ton, condition dictates price. I would look up each provinces plate (there's only a dozen) in '68 and pick which one you like the best. I once saw a '71 Quebec plate that I didn't buy, haven't seen one since, as I recall it was moss green with a black border and numbers/letters, very attractive. Plate doctors plates look to be in very good shape and very fairly priced.

I like the BC plates, as they are the same colors as my truck. Ontario are pretty common - I have a pair of '71 from there myself.

Sure! Oklahoma is a one-plate State, I've got a few other State plates of similar vintage, I'll sort through and post some pics

The Ohio plate is a low-number un-tabbed single, I believe from 1970(?)...it is in the worse shape, overall.

The CO truck is one of a matched pair, Jefferson County.

The CO single is a very nice plate, overall. Also from Jefferson County.

The Arizona plate is a '66, tabbed to '68.

Nebraska is a '76, celebrating the U.S. Bicentennial.

The Bahrain tag is a U.S.-sized rear plate from the late '90s.

I'd trade any single for one of yours, or any two or the Colorado truck pair for both BC.

I do like the 70 Colorado and 76 Nebraska plate but strangely enough I already have one of each of those and don't really have a need for doubles.Do you have access to any other plates of a similar vintage? If not I could just sell you the pair or I could probably find a single 68 truck plate if you just want one.
