To see how crappy it is before it goes under the knife for a six figure restoration. I'd rather see car looking like that,than washed and still a pile. But yeah, it's the new trend, "look at the dust and dirt on this car!"

Do you think these people would mind if you shut their damn hoods before taking pics??

I was a bit hobbled this year, and I never managed to walk the entire show field any year... the C Body line was spectacular, except for all the darn hoods left open... I wanted to walk around and start closing them.

I believe we've started a trend. Hoods are closed more now than ever. Look at many of the pics, numbers are increasing and it started with the C body guys
