I'm needing the front brake calipers and pads for my new Yorker.

Could get away with just the font left for now. I just hate to spend 150 bucks for a single caliper.

Keep in mind it will have to be shipped to ak.

That car will have the Budd discs. They were C body only and are not well supported in the aftermarket. You're lucky you can source a caliper at all. Most guys have to get theirs rebuilt if they keep them at all.

Yup I had the disc brake set-up on a 68 Coronet I restored years ago. 4 Piston calipers. I had to have them sleeved in stainless, with Stainless cups. Cost me about $250 per side....this was almost 20 years ago now though.

You might want to check around locally and see if this could be done to your original calipers. Might ultimately be cheaper...since you'd have to buy the calipers here...then pay shipping, import duty and taxes etc.

I'm pretty sure you can get re-seal kits for these calipers still though.

My calipers are pretty rusty I don't think they can be rebuilt. I take it there isn't a easy conversion to use a more common caliper? EBay, rock auto and AutoZone all carry the bud style.

Rusty how? Are the pistons and cylinders rusted right through? They will blast out the old calipers, then machine the cylinder to accept new stainless sleeves, then install either new stainless pistons, or a more common aluminum piston. New seal kit and your done. The current condition should not affect their ability to rebuild these. Usually this route is taken by people who have calipers that are "too far gone" for a normal rebuild service.

I think the inside where the seals go is pitted but I'll look more closely. Bigger problem is I doubt anyone in my small fishing village of 3k has a shop capable of such work. But soldotna might.

I was hoping someone would come in and say a rotor and caliper combo off so and so good with a lil fab work. But it looks like factory will be the way to go

If your not concerned with 100% original, then grab a complete front disc set-up off a 69-72 C-body. Yes they use a slightly more expensive rotor compared with the coveted 73 C-body set-up...but they are a lot more common. And other then the rotor and spindle diameter they use pretty much all the same parts.

are you saying those calipers bolt on my car? Just need rotors and pads to match?

No you would need the whole spindle assemblies, caliper brackets and lower ball joints. As well as the rotors and calipers and hoses. This is a complete conversion.

This is the same basic upgrade as the coveted "73 C-body" brake upgrade...just with the 69-72 C-body disc brake set-up. The 69-72 set-up just uses a little more costly front brae rotor, compared to the 73 set-up. The one advantage of the 69-72 set-up is they are fairly plentiful...compared with the dwindling supply of 73 ONLY c-bodies.

Gotcha. Looks like I'm gonna buy factory stuff. Shipping of spindles will be spendy. I'll just get calipers and be done with it
