Guess this would be a drive line question. I've rebuilt my steering pump and my steering gear box. New pitman arm. And some new bushings. I just can't seem to dial out a ton of play in the steering wheel. I know it'll never be rack and pinion but there's gotta be a way to tighten it up to not be...
Think I'm gonna start pulling it soon and just get eyes on it and make a determination from there. Maybe best case i can get it rebuilt. Maybe something came loose and it's not that bad? Unlikely with my luck.
Have a 68 brother with air conditioning i leave the compressor on in the engine but none of the hoses are connected. I eventually plan to connect it but it's such the absolute lowest priority. I do need a heater core in general though. 60 bucks all over the place unless you need a combo ac unit...
I did replace the fuel pump last year. Feel like I've had this same problem with 2 different pumps. I did buy a pertronix distributor and coil and i did set up the wiring so it wouldn't short if left on too long. I suppose it doesn't hurt to test the pump again and the spark but I'm pretty...
Have a fitech efi on my 68 Newport. Been a problem for years since day 1 but so many other projects and life things that take priority in finally done with and able to focus on this. Car will start great. Run great. Then I'll park and go to start it and just cranks and cranks but doesn't start...
Any leads on a good price for a 68 Newport 383? They seem pricier for c bodies, always. Have a small leak in my current and want to switch to an in tank fuel pump for my fitech system.
I have Fitech. I've spent so much money on it i have trouble justifying going back to a carb but strongly don't recommend it. I have nothing but issues i assume is directly related to it
When was the last time it ran? Is it stored inside or outside? Without that top hose on it I'm a little concerned it might be rusted out inside with water pooling in there?
