Hi Alan, I'll be there and meet with you and Ron. Also let the FCBO group know that I have a '69Polara hood, '71Polara hood and other body parts, '72Polara doors, available, but not bringing them to the swap area. Ron
Just a couple of observations: (1) My '64 300K has a center console with the auto trans shifter, is this adaptable for you if you choose not use the push buttons?
I know you are trying to continue the dash mount system, but this is an alternative.
(2) Your picture of the bottom of your car...
I thought if ever I would change my "K" to disc brakes, I'd use the factory system from a '68 'C' body. I have a complete set (spindles as well) from a Fury I haven't used. Main problem is once the rotors are worn out, not sure about finding replacements. I like my 11 x 3's, I probable won't...
Sorry I was slow to respond to your needs. I'm in SoCal and I have four power window doors off a '72 Polara I pulled out of the San Bernadino Pic a Part several years ago. Don't have any of the harness assembly from the dash. Door panels are shot. Doors are green and no dents or rust...
Two pistons on each side of the fixed caliper = four pistons total. If you were on the west (left) coast I'd refer you to Karp's brake service, jeff@karpspb.com. Recently moved from Monrovia to Pomona(?) CA. I got a set of these brakes(spindles included) off a Fury in the Ontario Ecology yard...
I'm not used to seeing back-up auto adjusters on the front. My 11x3 inch fronts only have a spring across the adjuster firmly holding the shoes together and then manually adjust
I have two C-bodies, 1971 and 1974; Polara and Monaco. Both CHP. Also several other B and E bodies. Most in levels of restoration.
I used to visit this site and C-body drydock, but it looks like that site has stopped operations.
