    1971 Dealer demo. Wowsa!

They came with radio options but one had to be selected. No Imperials of this generation (or newer) were built without a radio. That car was cheaper than my 72. It came with Sentinel lighting and rear AC. My 71 was cheaper since it had no right side mirror, cloth seats, and manual AC.

    Accursed Rear Drivers Spark Plug

My 71 Imp was a royal pain. I got it out from underneath. Even then it took some work.

The new motor is is done. Whaddya think?

The rockers are standard 1.5 ratio. 3/8 pushrods. The Gaterman lifters are sized to allow B engine pushrods in an RB. They measured out well. Headers. Manifolds get too tight on angle plug heads. I got as close as I could to quench. If I remember correctly it's just over .060" with the...

The new motor is is done. Whaddya think?

There are some videos on my fairly abandoned YT channel. Ridgewood Machine. This is a 440 Source 543 stroker kit. It actually measures 541 inches. 10.5:1 compression CNCd Edelbrock RPM heads Wilson Manifolds port matched Performer RPM intake Custom Comp hydraulic roller 235/241 .589/.517 cam...

The new motor is is done. Whaddya think?

That's exactly what I wanted. A 1971 Imperial is a big car. It needs a 541 stroker to lug it around towm.

    Preference for Edlebrock or Holley?

I prefer an Eddy carb over a Holley on a street car. Tuning is quite easy and I always get better street manners. When doing a performance build or racing a Holley will almost always outperform the AFB or AVS but you give up street manners. Pick your poison.

The new motor is is done. Whaddya think?

We dynoed the new motor yesterday. It purrs like a kitten, even smoother than the stock 440 in my 72. At 900 rpm the idle didn't vary by more than 10 rpm. However, when we gave it the beans the torque came through. I think it's going to be perfect for cruising in the 71 Imperial.

    NOT MINE 1974 Imperial LeBaron 4dr Hardtop - $5,000 - Flagstaff, AZ

Yeah, especially with the missing line.

    Have you ever seen these?

I looked at a 76 Royal Monaco coupe today. It's a Mexican market car with a 360 running some really unusual exhaust. The headers are not quite a tri-y setup. Each header terminates in two short collectors. The driver's side header has two flanged collectors. They merge together into a single...

Any feedback on a 518 in a Fusey?

It's amazing. My transmission has over 300,000 miles on it and still pulled 14,000 lbs through the Texas hill country without missing a beat. :) As for the Imperial, life got in the way. However, I'm making progress. The Edelbrock heads have been ported and the valve work is underway. This...

Once again, headers needed for a Fusey

That's a damned expensive try. I can tell you that hurts flow. Don't need a dyno for that.

Once again, headers needed for a Fusey

Can you spot what I don't like about TTI exhaust?
  13. F

    I went 151.24mph today

You only get a few laps at speed unless you opt for one of the larger and more expensive packages.

Once again, headers needed for a Fusey

I think you meant to say "the plot sickens." :D
