Old thread but always cool to see what's going on with everyone's projects. Winter here un Canada is very long. Good time to make changes hopping to go faster next season! Putting the Polara on a serious diet, porting heads, porting tunnel ram, getting the 2 x 750 double pumpers ready and...
Yes. Absolutely. Getting rid or moving weight from the front ro the back will help with acceleration. My 66 Polara has the battery in the trunk, all the way back on the passenger side. It hasan aluminum manual steering box from a duster, aluminum radiator, manual brakes, no sway bar, shiny 165...
get rid of all power stuff, power brakes, power steering, inner fenders, fabricate fiberglass hood, trunk, doors, bumpers (I had to make my own fiberglass parts for the 66 Polara as no one makes them).

From the pictures, both look very similar and the K7003 is not listed on MOOG`s website and very...
Thanks Scott!
I also checked mine and I can see the filling covering the holes where the MONACO letters were before. So, at some point, someone change the trunk lid.
I will keep it like that. I like how it looks.
Hey Ross, That is good to know! The previous owner glued some of the trim: front fender passenger side and the one in the driver side the guy glued it to the fender...
Do you have those pieces? Do you want to sell it?
Thanks!
