1974 New Yorker Driver's side mirror

Can anyone tell me what other mirror will fit a 74 New Yorker? Honestly, I'd like to ditch the cable control and just open the window to adjust it since both cable op mirrors I have also have broken cables mounts. I daily my Norker when gas is cheap so I don't care about correct, just that it...

That sounds a lot better than I was doing. I get it now. I tried putting the spring on with the window about halfway and it just ended badly. Let me know how to send a money order to you and how much and I'll send it out ASAP.

46563 As far as the spring, how do you know how much tension? Half a turn or whole turn? Thanks a bunch. Joe.

Wow, that's awesome. I'll gladly take it. You'll have to give me some tutelage for the transaction. Now if you have some advice and instructions how to mount the tension spring holding the window... but I'll save that for another post.

It'll be my daily when gas is cheap, because we all know the old N'orkers pass everything on the highway but a gas station. Here is a photo of the...

74 New Yorker cranks but doesn't start.

Too many problems with weak spark in mopars in the past, crummy replacement parts nowadays, and getting rid of the ballast. There's a lot of good literature out there about the HEI conversion. It gets rid of so many 45 year-old connections.

74 New Yorker cranks but doesn't start.

I'll try another distributor. Glad to know the problem could be intermittent. I've tested all the ignition parts on a bench wired up to a battery and with a multimeter. If this doesn't work, I'm going with a Fovroler ignition (Ford coil, Chevrolet icm, Chrysler distro.) and a starter button.

74 New Yorker cranks but doesn't start.

My son picked up a New Yorker with 85k miles. We reworked the brakes and took the beat up AFB off and put a Street Demon (I really like it but the linkage had to be chopped a bit for clearance). The day we ended up registering the car, he drove to his friends house and the car just died going...
