You've been busy, thanks for posting updates, the more I see this car the more I like it. Base Polara so it has the standard door panels but it has vinyl/cloth seats and carpeting, looks like a switch for an electric trunk release on the lower left side of the dash.

I believe these were used on station wagon applications where you would need extra braking power without having to stomp on the pedal, towing a trailer for example. These use a different metering valve (the one that bolts to the frame rail) than the Bendix units. Great score.

Hey Big_John Bill Rolick has that clip listed in group 8 page 4 of his catalog part # 2356 if I remember correctly five bucks, it's not listed for C body but it's the same.

You can interchange one for the other but the distribution block on the frame rail is different.
