I got a RED X from someone after I complimented someone’s car. Does this impact my “rating” in any way?

Also, what are the thresholds for titles like member, well known member, old man with a hat, etc?

Usually the red x is done by mistake when scrolling with a phone and not intended.

IMHO, leaving a red x for any other reason should have an explanation, but many don't and I think it's rude.

5000 posts gets you the "old man with hat" rating. There was a time when guys that owned C bodies were referred to as "old men with hats".

Rather than take offense, we've embraced the name. One other perk of becoming an old man with a hat, is that we get to change the title under our screen name.

It was me you gave you the red x. it was after you stated the 4 door 68 new yorkers where better looking than the 2 doors. As an owner of a 2 dr 68, I disagreed. I thought that is all that the red"x" meant, I didn't realize it had other repercussions.
I meant no harm, nothing personal or malicious, just used it as a way of disagreement.
I will try to find the thread and retract it if is causing problems.

The X does not have repercussions. I like that it is possible to mark disagreements

FWIW, the red x was removed on FABO. To quote what @Toolmanmike said about it, "A bunch ***** about the red X. Another bunch ***** that it is gone. You can't keep anybody happy."

I never quite saw the need for it, but really don't care one way or the other. In the grand scheme of things, a red x next to a post on the internet means nothing.
