Another forum I'm on created a thread for members cars modified or created using AI. The emphasis on YOU is so this doesn't get loaded up with AI clickbait slop of "2026 Cuda coming soon", so please keep it to stuff you've actually made. I'll start with something I just did to clean up an old family photo of ME in front of my grandfather's 1974 Monaco coupe. For this, I started with a photo that I spent a bunch of time trying to clean up using MS Paint and "Word" because in typical MS fashion, both of those programs SUCK for photo editing. For example, Paint allows you to fix things pixel-by-pixel, but you can't do a damn thing with lighting. Whereas a dumb word-processing program DOES allow you to control brightness/contrast/sharpness.

So I fed my best effort to Gemini AI and told it exactly this: "Make the car brown and remove the sun glare" Do you see what else it did? I have no idea WHY, but it did do a nice job with the color/glare and sharpness.

Another neat thing you can do it use it to create an image you remember in your head... For example, I was telling a story about how my HS had an open lunch and we used the time to street race at a nearby industrial park. I learned you need to fill in details or AI will do it for you. Apparently in the AI world, neighbors love the idea of HS kids street racing.

create a photo a bronze 1969 Chrysler 300 four door street racing a 1988 white Ford Mustang GT.

When I added

well at least we aren't going to get arrested or injured here. Call it a work in progress.

The other forum was largely "holiday scenes" so I decided to see how it would do compared to an actual photo. The is one I took with my family at our city hall. (This is the 75th anniversary of my city being chartered, so we are going to use my 1951 Imperial at a lot of events, parades, etc.)

Create a photo of a family of five, posing in front of a seafoam green 1951 Chrysler Imperial at city hall during Christmas.

At first I thought it did pretty good, although the car was obviously a bit off. Because I was viewing on a phone, I thought AI simply off'ed my wife. Then I zoomed in closer and realized it put a woman's head on the man's body. The future will be terrifying.
