Need advice on parting with my '72 New Yorker 2 door

Thank you all for your good insights, I value your opinions. I think as a first step I am going to make it available to the C-Body community and list it on FCBO. I will copy my original post here into an ad with an asking price of $7,500 OBO. I don't want to be too greedy and we'll see what...

Need advice on parting with my '72 New Yorker 2 door

I believe 52K is correct because of the pedals and general tightness of the car. It was also the opinion of mechanics who worked on the car over the years and of other people who knew the car. My uncle got the car in 1977 and used it very little until 1978, then it was used as a storage shed...

    1970 Seat Foam

No, 383-2. Yes, it was EA4 Silver, or "Platinum Metallic" as Chrysler called it. If I can ever afford it, it will return to that color. The covers are from Legendary Auto Interiors, and that's the way they came, without the buttons. Mine didn't have them anyway. Picture from when I first...

    O MY

When the seller started the Pioneer, the first sound of that Poly I heard reminded me of the movie Christine when the owner started the Fury. Just as I was thinking that, Wyatt @71Polara383 says "Christine". That was a good laugh we both had.

    Hood troubles

Springs don't normally get weaker with age, as the hoods don't cycle between open and closed that much. BUT then can wear at the pivot points. Start with a good penetrating oil at the pivot points to get things loosened up. So it's easier for the springs to "do their job" in keeping the hood...

    Hood troubles

The hood on my 72 is difficult to lift and stay up. It was difficult to close so I lubed it up and it was fine last year except up by the windshield you had to push down on the hood about an inch or so just to get the close not hard pressure. Now it’s all out of whack when it goes up I’m...
