    Is this Monaco worth $2500?

I'm purchasing this Monaco 500 for $2500.. it's been sitting since '94. It's in Montana, we don't salt our roads so the rust underneath is minimal.. it's extremely dirty inside and the upholstery is pretty rough, it'll need the seats re-upolstered and a headliner which is torn and sagging. The...

    '66 Newport 2 Door hardtop

My car shows really well. I got super lucky finding a '66 Newport that had been well cared for all of these 57 years. Previous owners repaired rusted out panels, installed a new windshield, new paint, sprayed truck liner in the trunk, replaced the carpet, new tires, new shocks, new rear...

    NOT MINE 1965 Dodge Monaco

I keep telling myself I don't need it. I think the price is a little high I have no idea on the value as its rare. Even to get it sorted and reliable without getting into the cosmetics it's going to get pricy assuming the engine is any good. Its sounds like its dry seized (hopefully) to me...

For Sale 1978 Plymouth Fury Cop Car Roller

No title but have key for it. 1978 Plymouth fury ex sheriffs car. Was a 400 big block car originally. It’s a roller only no engine or trans. Two wheels on car don’t go with it as two tires were flat. You should bring two wheels. A lot of the police stuff is there still including the...

    Slab Side key question

I remember long ago that cabbies who drove Mopar products would leave the round key in the trunk lock. When they pulled up at the airport, the cabbie kept the motor running and and could open the trunk and throw the luggage in the back. As a kid I thought it was odd not to carry the key in...

    Slab Side key question

FWIW, more than one of my old beaters had the tumblers removed from the trunk/and or glove box locks. Then any key would fit... Of course, there were a few with no lock set that had the universal trunk key too.... A screwdriver.

    Locked keys in trunk

Today's bone head move of the day...I locked my keys in my trunk. Only problem is, the remakes of the trunk key have never worked. Only the original. Ideas? Thinking about removing my back seat (I already have the upholstery to replace) and crawling back there to get them.

    Keys

I feel almost foolish asking this having driven Mopars my whole life, but the memory fades unfortunately, so I'm asking your help. I'm restoring my 68 Imperial Crown convertible and one of the down sides is that it has had the ignition & lock cylinders replaced along the line and the car has a...

    Slab Side key question

took the car out for a drive the other day and realized I never actually use the door key…. Like NEVER. Being a convertible, I was always taught to leave the doors unlocked and leave nothing of interest in the car for someone to steal. The thinking being I’d rather have someone open the unlocked...

    Slab Side key question

Interesting topic. My ‘68 300 convertible has the round key for the door and trunk and diamond key for the ignition only. Makes me wonder if this was changed during a previous restoration of if perhaps they treated verts differently?

    1970 Fury trunk lock question

I don't think "option 2" is going to work for you. The lock in the eBay link isn't correct for your car. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but IIRC, the lock cylinder in the Fury, because it's mounted on the right side, has an arm on it that connects to the rod that connects to the actual...

    My '71 Plymouth

Thanks for that! Dad worked part time jobs along with his policework in the early '70s. Just before he joined the Army in June 1974, he worked as a night watchman at a local chevy dealership, Kardon Chevrolet here in Mt.Holly New Jersey. It was a decent size dealer with an oval test track in the...
