    Opening the console lid

If it pops up, it has a spring. If it don't pop up, the spring is broken.

    Opening the console lid

The lid should pop up when you hit the button, just enough to get under it with your thumb. Mine don't have any spring, just a cable to keep the door from falling to the passenger side.

    Tach manufacture, and...

...does it require a sending unit? Any info on the aftermarket unit pictured below would be appreciated.

    Opening the console lid

I'm not sure if 66 still used the rear hinged cover like my 65 or not. If so, I would bet your spring is broken. Here are a couple pics of my 65 console door. If you have the newer style with the hinge on the passenger side, I believe I have a spare one from a 1968

Electronic Ignition , Goop leaking out

I agree that heat is what causes the problem. However, I believe the heat cause is electrical and is because of a piss-poor case ground. Regulators and ECU's need a good case ground. I always verify with my ohm meter. I require .5 ohms or less and not happy until .2 ohms. I bet yours reads much...

Where was this Mopar Brochure/Ad Photo shot?

I lucked up on it. I have been there because I went to grad school near there. Notwithstanding, the ad screams "New England fishing" with the architecture/models clothing/ style of boats, etc. you can't get "Peg Man" down to the edge of the south pier, but you can get a look at the north...

NOT MINE WTH! 60K 1969 Dodge Coronet 4dr sedan

If the car was an early build prior to the safety mandate of January 1st 1969, they were still an option. Our 69 Fury was built in October 1968 and no headrests. I agree the cloth inserts appear to had been replaced.

Where was this Mopar Brochure/Ad Photo shot?

We had one find it. Gloucester, MA A difficult one to verify as there is no Street View near the spot. In town you can see the stairs and some of the buildings that are still there. Alan

New guy recently purchased a 66 Newport 2 Door hardtop, looking for a few good parts sources.

Hey! Welcome aboard. Looks like you have a good solid car. A good foundation from which to build. I have a couple of threads that may be useful as you move forward with your car. "The Saga Begins" and "The Saga Continues.". Ripinator

440 engine making a noise that sounds like an exhaust leak, but no leak is found

Hmm, I didn't know that. Was there some sort of sealer applied between the parts? When I removed it to remove the control valve, there was a gasket in place, which is why I replaced it.

440 engine making a noise that sounds like an exhaust leak, but no leak is found

I had the manifold off recently and removed the heat control valve completely and had the holes welded shut.

What’s it worth? New Modern Era Plymouth Wrist Watch

That watch looks pretty cool, especially with that unique Plymouth design. As far as value, it's tough to pinpoint without knowing more about the brand or model, but a watch in that condition (looks mint!) could hold some collectible appeal. Since it's never been used, it might fetch a decent...
