are you asking about Imperials? Didn't see any mention of Imperials in the posts above. The floor changed on the Chrysler, Dodge 880 in 1962. Not sure about Imperials though.

How to check for numbers matching transmission?

Just curious, how to check if the transmission is numbers matching? If possible at all. See attached photo of the transmission nr on our 1969 Chrysler 300. The number 2648 stands for 1968 according to the 10.000 day calender?

Will Road Runner bench seat covers fit on a Polara?

1969 Polara, need front bench redone, front bench no armrest Just wondering if the seat covers from a 69-70 Road Runner fit? Would save me from having to re-upholster if I could just get the RR covers put on. The 70 looks pretty close design wise

My 69 Polara just had a dome light, but it's extremely dim, barely visible. I wonder if it's the bulb or something else?

    Critique these brake shoe linings...

Those are factory style linings. The cracking is the result of overheating. It would be best to replace them. Check the wheel cylinders to be sure that they are free and not leaking. Dave

    Critique these brake shoe linings...

On a scale of "they're fine, no big deal" ----to---- "holy crap what the hell" how bad are these, with a crack running down the middle of each lining..

Probably not. By the mid 60's, I think most, if not all, didn't use the sender box.

    Opening the console lid

If it pops up, it has a spring. If it don't pop up, the torsion spring is broken. This is what you need https://www.ebay.com/itm/256470974282?_

    Opening the console lid

The lid should pop up when you hit the button, just enough to get under it with your thumb. Mine don't have any spring, just a cable to keep the door from falling to the passenger side.

    Opening the console lid

I'm not sure if 66 still used the rear hinged cover like my 65 or not. If so, I would bet your spring is broken. Here are a couple pics of my 65 console door. If you have the newer style with the hinge on the passenger side, I believe I have a spare one from a 1968
