Greetings and question about Imperial 59 start-up!

Does it still crank ok with the spark plugs in, but with the ignition disconnected? If so, try retarding the timing. But I've read those old direct drive starters are troublesome. Good advice given above to oversize the cables.

    Trans fluid .

I did this on my 96 camry - popped off the AT cooler inlet line coming from the tranny, aimed it into a bottle and quickly figured out that it pumped out about a litre of ATF in 15 secs. The engine/engine oil was already warm so I kept starting and stopping it as needed to ensure the gearbox...

    Welcome, RWCearley

Well, when you're getting prepared for removing the tires, hit me up and we'll see if my polisher is usable? But those might clean up nicely with just some Mothers alum wheel polish.

Exactly What Wheels & Tires Fit C Bodies?

Exactly What Wheels & Tires Fit C Bodies?

I test-fitted such a wheel back in May, I had planned on posting my findings at that time. Today is hte day, I guess. I was interested in the BS only, and did not check for suspension/brake hose clearance. (I suspect, at 17" dia, the wheel would clear everything. YMMV on tire size, though)...
